Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Sistemi Umani platform and services. They work alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle your personal and health data.

Effective 30 June 2026 · Last updated 3 July 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sistemi Umaniplatform and services (“the Service”), provided by Sistemi Umani Ltd, a company registered in Malta, [company number — to confirm](“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Sistemi Umani is a health platform through which you can register, book and manage appointments, and access services delivered by our practitioners (physiotherapy and related care, with further services added over time). Care is provided by appropriately qualified practitioners.

We may add, change or withdraw features as the platform develops.

3. Eligibility & your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create your own account. Care may be provided to someone under 18 where a parent or guardian consents and manages the account on their behalf.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Accounts are personal to you and must not be shared.

4. Health information & important medical disclaimer

The Service is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use the platform to seek emergency help.
  • The Service supports the care provided by our practitioners; it does not replace professional clinical judgement or an in-person assessment where one is needed.
  • Any general information made available through the platform is for information only and is not individual medical advice unless given to you directly by your practitioner as part of your care.
  • You agree to give your practitioner accurate health information, as incomplete or inaccurate information can affect the care you receive.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully, or in a way that harms the Service or other users;
  • attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours, or probe, scan or breach security measures;
  • upload malicious code, or content that is unlawful or infringes others’ rights;
  • misrepresent your identity.

We may suspend or restrict access where these Terms are breached.

6. Bookings, cancellations & payments

  • Appointments can be booked through the Service subject to availability.
  • The Service does not currently take payment online. Where paid services are introduced, the applicable booking, cancellation and refund terms will be presented to you at the point of payment, and card payments will be handled by a regulated payment processor — we do not store card details on our systems.

7. Practitioners

Care is delivered by appropriately qualified practitioners, who exercise their own professional judgement in your care and are bound by professional obligations of confidentiality.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. You may use it only as permitted by these Terms. Content you provide remains yours; you grant us the permissions we need to operate the Service and provide your care.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and may modify or discontinue parts of the Service.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any rights you have as a consumer under Maltese and EU law that cannot be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for matters outside our reasonable control. The Service supports but does not replace the professional care provided to you, and clinical responsibility for your care rests with your treating practitioner.

11. Suspension & termination

  • You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached, or where we are required to by law. On termination we will handle your data in line with the Privacy Notice and our retention obligations.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. We will post the updated version and update the effective date; where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to notify you.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and disputes are subject to the courts of Malta. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer protections available to you under local law.
